FIFA extends sales phase
20 April: The 4th sales phase now ends 24 April 2006. Quite a few tickets were released throughout the past few days. For a listing of ticket releases, visit our Statistics page.
FIFA opens ticket portal
28 March: Yesterday FIFA has opened a ticket portal for ticket holders who wishes to return their tickets. WorldCupSMS has integerated this new option in its service today.
Behind the Scenes
1. Check for Tickets
We are checking the World Cup website to see if tickets are available. Yes, we are doing this more than 8000 times per day, 24/7.
2. Select Tickets
If tickets become available, we will select those users who want to be notified of the type of tickets available.
3. SMS Users!
We will then send a SMS all users. To be fair to all users, we will randomise the list of recipients before the SMS messages are sent.
4. EMail Users!
We will then e-mail all users who have opted to be notifed via e-mail.
